Presahy Modra

We are a civic association from Modra that has been connecting culture, community, and civic engagement since 2019. For five years, we operated the independent cultural center Lýceum, which became a lively hub of the local scene and  a place for generations to meet, create, and engage in social dialogue.

After losing our original premises, we are embarking on our biggest challenge yet. In cooperation with the town of Modra, we are renovating the former vegetable market on Dukelska Street and transforming it into Slobodka – a new community and cultural center with a café, space for public events, creative workshops, civic activities, and education.

At the same time, we are continuing to organize the multi-genre IMAGINE festival, community meetings, discussions, theater performances, concerts, education for seniors, and work with young people.

We believe that culture has a broader impact—and that independent cultural spaces are important places for free creation, sharing, and connecting people across generations and worlds.
