TELOCVIČŇA – Dance Residency Centre

TELOCVIČŇA – Dance Residency Centre is a vibrant space dedicated to contemporary dance, movement research, and performative arts. It was founded in 2016 as a community initiative of the dance scene in premises provided by the Bratislava Self-Governing Region. Since 2023, TELOCVIČŇA has been operating as an independent project under the leadership of the Platform for Contemporary Dance and has established itself as a professional centre for dance and performance in the capital.

Over the past years, it has become a key site of creation for local artists as well as for artists from the wider Central European region. It offers a supportive environment for artistic residencies, long-term research projects, and the development of new works, while actively encouraging experimentation and interdisciplinary approaches.

In addition to creative processes, TELOCVIČŇA also serves as a presentation space for the public. Throughout the year, it hosts dozens of performances, work-in-progress showings, discussions, and educational activities for diverse target groups, including children, adults, seniors, and people from disadvantaged communities.

Since 2021, a distinctive dramaturgical focus has been placed on artistic research projects exploring the connections between art, the body, and environmental themes, including the Nature of Us project supported by the Creative Europe programme.

Since 2024, TELOCVIČŇA has been a member of the renowned European Dance Development Network (EDN), confirming its professional profile and international positioning. Cooperation with the Bratislava Self-Governing Region continues through educational programmes for the public, particularly for young people and seniors, while the Cvernovka Foundation, as a strategic partner, supports the long-term development and stability of the space.
